CIP launched a recognitions award in order to recognise the achievements of individuals/ organisations that are making climate information more accessible and usable by vulnerable communities in Kenya. The Tambua prize will acknowledge existing climate information innovations.
The deadline to make a nomination was the 14th October 2016. Those nominated that met the minimum requirements have now gone live for public voting until the 16th November 2016. The top seven winners will receive a cash prize and will be invited to present in front of a panel of judges to determine who comes 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
The winners will receive cash prizes, with a maximum individual award of GBP1000. Maximum cash prizes are the following:
1st place – GBP1000
2nd place – GBP850
3rd place – GBP700
Runners up x 4 – GBP500
